‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7, episode 12 video: Show boss on Ian Somerhalder – ‘fight club’ episode

The seventh season of “The Vampire Diaries” has so far thrown Damon Salvatore into a series of nearly-impossible situations, and it would be making an incredibly gross understatement to say that these have not always ended particularly well for him. As a matter of fact, on this past episode of the show we saw the character light Elena on fire in one of his latest fits of anger, suffering, and psychosis in the wake of being trapped in his own personal hell.

So where are we going with this character from here? Think fight club! The sneak peek below features Ian Somerhalder front and center in what co-executive producer Brian Young and executive producer Caroline Dries describe as the show’s version of “Fight Club.” If you want to see Damon punch some other people in the face, this story could be right up your alley.

Meanwhile, the two also set up more of Caroline’s struggles with her pregnancy, which are really the only time so far that she is experienced something a little bit abnormal as opposed to a normal pregnancy. While this is happening, Bonnie is going to go on a trip-of-sorts with Nora and Mary Louise, one that could explore some very interesting dynamics that are existing at the moment between these three characters.
