‘Daredevil’ season 2 video: Chinese New Year promo hints at story ahead

One of the nice things about “Daredevil” is that it makes Hell’s Kitchen into a living, breathing community … even on social media. That is ultimately what the latest promo courtesy of Netflix is all about! In one way, it’s a chance to honor Chinese New Year, while at the same time it’s a way to promote the show in as awesome a fashion as humanly possible.

This promo is rather short, but it gives you a sense of some of the violence that is coming up, and the challenge Matt Murdock is going to have to face with The Punisher coming in a very short amount of time. What’s so intriguing about this man is that when the dust settles, he’s not necessarily pure evil; he just has a very different idea of what justice is, and how to do away with the bad guys. It’s pretty clear that at some point over the course of the coming episodes, these differences in ideology are going to spell trouble for many of our characters.

These episodes will officially premiere on Netflix come March 18, and we expect them in so many ways to serve as a perfect precursor for “The Defenders.” This team-up series is still a long ways away, but we figure by the time this season come to a close we could see at least a little more information in regards to how the group is going to start coming together.
