‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12 spoilers: Get ready for the Meredith – Amelia feud to continue for some time

Given what we are going to see happen to Meredith Grey on the “Grey’s Anatomy” midseason premiere Thursday (she gets attached, just in case you have not heard), do you think that she and Amelia would be interested in getting on the same page once more? It’s a nice theory, but unfortunately for now, that’s all it is: A theory. There is no confirmation or suggestion that these two are going to be coming together at any point in the near future and resolving the differences that caused Ellen Pompeo’s character demand that she move out.

As a matter of fact, when discussing this matter even further in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Maggie’s portrayer Kelly McCreary made it fairly clear that it’s probably going to be some time before we start to see them back on the same page; until then, Maggie is going to be stuck in the unfortunate middle position of trying to attend to both of them:

“Those two characters don’t like each other right now, so they won’t really be crossing paths for a while … Maggie and Amelia have developed a real bond. They care very much about each other. One of the reasons Maggie always fell in middle is that she cares for them equally. Maggie will remain loyal to both sisters and just try to stay out of the fray.”

Luckily, Maggie does also have a few other things to celebrate. For one, her love life could be heating up more in the future, and we also could see her continue to make advances in her career. Sometimes, you really have to take the good wherever you can on this show.
