‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: More on Stephen Amell’s future Oliver Queen

Are we going to see Oliver Queen’s destiny on “Legends of Tomorrow” later this month? Not entirely, and that is what is so interesting about this show. As cool as it may be to see Oliver with the famed goatee and one arm (a nod to the comics), this is more of what the future is before the Legends do what they can to change it. We have to presume that they do, if for no other reason than that this would be a fairly depressing show otherwise.

Below, you can see the first details regarding “Star City 2046,” the February 25 episode that is going to feature Stephen Amell and so much more as the team gets a rather shocking surprise as to just how much things have changed in Sara Lance’s hometown:

“When a malfunction sends the Waverider crashing into 2046 Star City, our heroes face a startling version of their own future where they never stop Savage (guest star Casper Crump) and never return home. The city is in ruins and overrun by criminals, which thrills Rory (Dominic Purcell). Sara (Caity Lotz) is despondent over the destruction of her home and stunned when she learns what happened to her old friend, Oliver Queen (guest star Stephen Amell).”

Hopefully within this episode we will get a chance to see what also happened, even if it is dialogue-only, with some other members of the team including John Diggle and Felicity Smoak. Did they make it to 2046, or did Vandal Savage’s reign of terror swallow them whole?
