‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 15 preview: Howard and Bernadette’s Valentine’s Day surprise

We had a little bit of love in the air on “The Big Bang Theory” on Thursday night, or at least something that could turn into romance between Raj and Claire, a woman he met at the comic book store who he shares quite a few things in common with. Will this work? Well, the problem here is simply that he has another girlfriend in Emily, and that will cause some obvious complications. We don’t want to see the character become a cheater, but we also want to see him happy … and he and Emily do have some obvious problems.

Even though Valentine’s Day is approaching, the synopsis below makes it fairly clear that there are some major problems that do need to be worked through for some of these characters before they can start to feel romantic:

“Sheldon and Amy host a live Valentine’s Day episode of Fun with Flags, Leonard and Penny grapple with getting older, Howard and Bernadette find a surprise in their hot tub and Raj is torn between Emily and the cute girl he met at the Comic Book store.”

The reason we put Howard and Bernadette in the title here is that we feel almost like they could be the ones with the biggest story of all when the dust settles. Is possible that she could be expecting soon? It’s hard to say, but it’s a question that has been raised many times over the years, and it is one that we would love to therefore get an answer to at some point … and with their empty-nest syndrome setting in after the departure of Stuart, something could happen.
