‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9: Adam West to appear, Sara Gilbert to return for 200th episode

Big Bang Theory -CBS is getting set to air the landmark 200th episode of “The Big Bang Theory” later this year, and there are going to be some very familiar faces who turn up as a result of it.

For one, how about Adam West? The famed TV Batman will be appearing in the episode, and we have to figure he would be playing himself since it’d make no sense for someone who looks like Adam West to appear in the universe of the show.

To go along with the great addition, we’ve also heard that John Ross Bowie (Kripke), Christine Baranski (Diane), Wil Wheaton (himself), and Sara Gilbert (Leslie) are also going to be appearing. Getting to see Gilbert back on the show is a great feat; the one-time series regular has not been on the show since the end of season 3, and she was at one point a big part of Leonard’s love life. It’ll be interesting to see the circumstances surrounding this character, and what their appearance means for the world of the show as a whole. It’s probably not much other than just another nice nod to the show’s past.

As for how the writers plan on cramming as many different people into half an hour as possible, that’s a good question / something we’re very interested in figuring out. We anticipate there being a lot of fun in here, but at the same time also a few new developments in some shape or form. The 100th episode in many ways served as a great precursor to Leonard and Penny’s relationship as it is today.
