‘The X-Files’ season 10, episode 4 preview: ‘Home Again’ brings back memories of Scully, Mulder’s child

X Files -Back on the second episode of “The X-Files” season 10, we were reminded of the child that Mulder and Scully had, and wondering what their lives could have been like in the event that they had made a different decision. This was not mentioned in a big way during Monday night’s new episode of the series, but it is going to be a fairly integral role during Monday night’s new episode “Home Again.”

The natural tendency upon hearing this title is going to inevitably be to compare the events of this installment to what happened in the classic episode entitled “Home,” but we’re here to tell you that it may be the wrong move to think of the installment in that way. Based on the synopsis below, it is likely going to stand on its own:

“Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are sent to investigate the murder of a city official, which it seems no human could have committed. Meanwhile, Scully deals with a personal tragedy, which brings up many old feelings about the child she gave away for adoption.”

Ultimately, there’s a lot to dive into in this episode, and odds are that this is going to be an extremely different episode than what we ended up seeing tonight with the Were-Monster. Rather than focusing on the humor, this could go back into the mythology and some of the personal moments that have defined these people over time. You can see the promo for it below, and we imagine that we’ll also have a sneak peek to discuss in the coming weeks.
