Could ‘American Horror Story’ season 6 be Slender Man themed?

American Horror Story -

The sixth season of “American Horror Story” is going to be premiering on FX later this year, and while we are still a good stretch of time away from when it could premiere, we’re already starting to get at least a few clues as to where the story could be coming.

Speaking to Us Weekly, the Ryan Murphy series could be looking to tell a story based on Slender Man, the mysterious child abductor who became an internet sensation a number of years ago. This would be the first time that the show told a story revolving for the most part around a single character, and it they actually did go with this, the series would be satisfying what has been a major criticism of ours for some time: Making things far more complicated than they need to be.

Speaking per Us Weekly, here is what one source close to the situation had to say on the subject:

“Someone else wrote the script, and AHS wants to adapt it to fit the show … They have to buy the rights. Then they’re going to figure out the cast from there.”

We figure that the series will not have too many problems making this work, provided that this is what they really want to do. Given that there have been so many rumors about this season already, for the time being we’re going to consider this simply that: A rumor. We’ll wait for confirmation before saying too much else.
