‘Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen’ episode 4: Did Giselle Wellman overtake Grayson Schmitz?

Take a look -

On Thursday night’s new episode of “Top Chef,” we saw what was in the end a somewhat-predictable result. Giselle Wellman seemed to be very nice (and she commented as such in many a confessional), but she just couldn’t mesh with the other chefs and seemed to not speak up for herself enough. This sent her to “Last Chance Kitchen,” where in a nice bit of irony, she squared off against someone in Grayson who is never afraid to speak her mind. (Watch the episode below; there are spoilers in the text, so be warned.)

So what ended up happening here in the end here was an episode all about making quick decisions, as they each had to figure out the right dish to make after briefly looking at some ingredients. It was no easy task, but they settled and went to it.

It’s strange in a way that something like temperature ended up being what ended up causing Grayson to win and Giselle to lose, but we suppose sometimes it is the little things. Giselle claims that she learned a lot from the experience that she can take with her, and this is probably the best outcome for her since we’re still so far from the point where someone can re-enter the competition. It’ll be hard for Grayson to keep this streak going forever, even though it’d be fantastic since she is amazing TV. Probably one of the best confessional-givers we could ever ask for in “Last Chance Kitchen.”

We’ll be back next week to review Grayson’s next showdown. Stay tuned…
