‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6 spoilers: Meet Toby’s new love interest

While “Pretty Little Liars” may not be firmly closing the door on many of its long-standing relationships when the second half of season 6 jumps “five years forward” on January 12, the series has made it pretty clear that they are taking things in a new direction for many characters. Apparently, that includes Toby.

As first reported by Variety, “Faking It” and “Scream Queens” actress Kara Royster is going to appear in the show for at least a couple of episodes as Yvonne, a woman who Keegan Allen’s character forges a bond with after he is called in on a robbery. We’re not sure how serious their romance is when we see them on the show, but clearly he is not going to be too hung-up on Spencer.

One thing that is important to remember here is that there is no telling when Toby and Spencer even broke up in the first place. It could be relatively recent, or it could be several years in the past. We’re betting more than latter, since she will appear pretty settled in to a life in Washington DC before heading back to Rosewood at the request of Ali.

This casting news comes not too long after it was revealed that Hanna is going to be engaged to someone other than Caleb on the show when it returns; head over here to read more about that! As for Aria and Ezra, we do at least know that they are going to have a role in each other’s lives, even if they are not together romantically when the series comes back on the air.
