‘Homeland’ season 5 finale debate: Will Peter Quinn make it through?

QuinnShowtime has taken an interesting approach to their upcoming season 5 finale of “Homeland.” Specifically, they’ve chosen to not release much of anything from the finale. Typically we get a couple of sneak peeks to go along with a promo, but not this time. We’ve really been lucky just to get some isolated clues here and there about what might be coming up.

With all of this, let’s go ahead and try to come up with a unique angle to talk about this episode ourselves! This leads to us posing a very important question: Is there a chance that Peter Quinn actually dies in this episode from all of his many injuries? He’s clearly not in a good place, and “Homeland” has shown a willingness to take major characters out of the equation before.

If there is one reason for fans of Rupert Friend to have hope, we presume it is because TV shows have become increasingly hesitant to kill off main characters these days. Just look at “The Walking Dead,” “The Leftovers,” “Arrow,” “NCIS,” and potentially even “Game of Thrones.” They all have all wanted you to at least think that they could be making such a move, only in the end for them to restore everything to the way that it was. “Homeland” producers know that Quinn is a beloved character, and with that, there would be a multitude of people out there who’d miss having the guy around.

Yet, this is a time when big moves need to be made, and in this instance killing off Quinn would be a way to further accelerate the story and give a specific moment for people to talk about. At the moment we’re not beholden to one idea or the other, at least so long as the show makes it believable.
