‘Talking Dead’ spoilers: Robert Kirkman, Jason Alexander, a mystery guest in midseason finale

talkingThe midseason finale of “The Walking Dead” is coming on Sunday night, and to go along with that, as always, is the midseason finale of “Talking Dead.” This is a chance to get a few answers on some important events that happen during the episode … but you better be prepared to wait for them.

Just as with the past couple of weeks, the Chris Hardwick-hosted aftershow will be starting at 11:00 p.m. Eastern time after a new episode of “Into the Badlands.” We’ve already discussed extensively how terrible we feel like this move is for the new martial-arts drama, since AMC is directly associating what is a pretty good show with resentment it does not deserve. We don’t think this association is really worth the negativity that comes with it.

So rather than dwelling on this, let’s just post a message here: Please, internet, stop bothering Hardwick and the stars of “The Walking Dead” about the scheduling, since we promise they have nothing to do with it. Also, AMC knows you’re unhappy. We’re just not sure if they care.

As for the lineup tonight, executive producer / source writer Robert Kirkman will be present, as well at least one and possibly two “surprise guests.” Given that Steven Yeun was just there this past week to discuss Glenn and that whole situation, we don’t envision it being him again. “Seinfeld” star Jason Alexander will also be there, which should bring a nice little injection of humor into the mix. Based on what we’ve seen from him online, he already has a great sense of humor about the fact that he would probably be dead in a zombie apocalypse.
