‘Supergirl’ episode 6 video: Kara meets Red Tornado

Remember when Lucy Lane first met Kara Zor-El? As we’ve learned, she certainly treated her in that meeting very different than she is treating Supergirl.

The sneak peek below from Monday night’s new “Supergirl” episode “Red Faced” features Lucy more in her element working alongside her father General Sam Lane. The two have a very specific request for Supergirl, and that is serving almost as a test rat for a showdown with Red Tornado, a new anthropomorphic battle device that they want to showcase. Is thing something that could help the military, or ultimately prove to be more harm than good? We’ll probably get an answer at some point in this episode.

Unfortunately, we don’t get to see much of the Tornado in this sneak peek other than the brief shot of him at the very end. Before that, we spend most of our time in here listening to Lucy and Sam, and also seeing that there is a clear divide between what the military wants for Supergirl, and what Alex wants for her.

We’ll close here with a simple question: While Sam and Lucy apparently have some sort of executive order signed by the President, does that really even matter when you remember the fact that Kara is not exactly American? Does she have to follow those rules? Ultimately, we figure that she doesn’t want to ruffle any feathers, since the last thing she wants at the moment most likely is the entire government upset with her.
