‘NCIS’ season 13, episode 10 preview: Bishop receives a pep talk in Oklahoma

Tuesday night’s new episode of “NCIS” entitled “Blood Brothers” is set to be an emotional one for some other there, especially when you are dealing with a woman in Ellie Bishop who is trying to get over some devastating information passed down by Jake last week.

Following those events, this episode is going to feature her back in Oklahoma, where you are going to meet her mother (Lindsay Wagner) and potentially some of her other family as she tries to get away from most of her troubles. Based on the sneak peek below, that also apparently includes taking an ax to her phone. We’re not entirely sure why she does this versus just turning her phone off, but it’s still a fun visual for TV.

Other than this, this sneak peek is mostly important for creating a sense of setting, and seeing how Bishop’s mom does care about her and want her to be happy. This is just going to be a longer process to get her in a good place, and hopefully are parties involved are prepared for that.

We know that eventually, Bishop is going to have some company courtesy of Agent Gibbs (see the picture above), who will be turning up at one point with some sage wisdom / rules of his own. As for whether or not he is there strictly for Emily Wickersham’s character, it is still to be seen. It at least adds another interesting perspective to the episode, as the writers look to build up the dynamic between these two characters further.
