‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 10 preview: ‘Star Wars,’ Bob Newhart, and Sheldon and Amy
There are some more stories to come on “The Big Bang Theory” this year, and based on everything that we are hearing right now, there are some big surprises.
The first thing here is that you are going to see Bob Newhart on the show, reprising his role as Arthur Jeffries a.k.a. Professor Proton. He is Sheldon’s childhood hero, and while he is no longer alive, he will be appearing as some sort of ghost / conscience to Sheldon as he makes some key decisions. Think along the lines of Obi-Wan Kenobi, which makes sense given that there is an episode coming all about “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” hitting theaters. Sound fun?
Of course, there’s also going to be a huge moment in the Sheldon / Amy relationship as the two characters are set to consummate their relationship by the end of the year! This has already been confirmed by the producers, which is why we don’t consider this to be that big of a spoiler. The question we have here is how in the world Sheldon and Amy are going to get to this point where they are ready for this, given where they are now. (We’ll save our broad opinions for the episode when it airs.)
All we hope for the time being is that there are a lot of geek references, a story that makes sense, and maybe a few meaningful moments since it is the holiday season. We always do love a little bit of warm fuzzy feelings as we get closer to December 25.
