NBC’s ‘The Voice’: R. City and Adam Levine to perform; #VoiceSave returns
“The Voice” has never met a trending topic that they did not like. Therefore, can you really be altogether shocked with the news that the show is bringing back the instant #VoiceSave twist this week, given that it generates so much attention for them in a way that few other things do.
This weekend, it was announced that the Save will be back for Tuesday night’s results show, which means that after giving some additional performances, America will decide who stays and who goes. Drama-wise, we love the twist since it actually makes the results shows relevant in a way that more or less they have never been before. However, at the same exact time, they are not entirely fair when there are a number of artists from the West Coast competing and they don’t have the help of local fans. (Granted, that’s not much of a factor this season, given that the majority of the remaining contestants are from the East Coast or the Midwest.
Also, NBC has confirmed that R. City is going to be the musical guest for Monday night’s show, where they will perform their hit single with Adam Levine entitled “Locked Away.” This is one of the perks to having Adam on the panel! It’s an easy push for his collaborations, and it also helps him get some extra attention, as well.
We will be back on Sunday to rank the remaining contenders this season, and if you want to check that out, you can do so over at the link here. (Spoiler alert: The clear favorites are Jordan Smith and Barrett Baber; meanwhile, our favorite is Jeffrey Austin.)
