‘NCIS’ season 13 star Pauley Perrette posts note after horrifying attack
Usually when we talk about “NCIS” stories on CarterMatt, we do so with a certain degree of lightness and fun. After all, we are talking about a TV show featuring pretend characters, and the dialogue surrounding much of what they do and say can be entertaining.
For this particular story, however, we are getting serious to talk about something pretty horrific: An attack that series star Pauley Perrette suffered while walking outside of her home to a guest house from who she describes as a “psychotic homeless man.” She goes on to describe some of his actions on Twitter (there is some strong language if you visit her post):
“He grabbed me so forcefully, pinned my arm, punched me in the nose, forehead repeatedly telling me he was going to kill me. Then he showed me how he was going to kill me.”
Perrette also commented that after the attacker left and she collapsed on the ground, someone walked by on their phone while walking their dog and did nothing to help her. Eventually with the help of a friend she got a sketch out to the authorities, and a man was eventually arrested on felony assault for his actions. There are multiple reports that he is being held on bail.
Perrette ends the post by advocating for great health care for the mentally ill:
“We need full mental health care. We need housing and help for the homeless. We need to support our cops. We need to not walk alone. I need to heal.”
Our heart goes out to Pauley and her loved ones after dealing with this terrible situation; hopefully she will be able to recover from what happened physically and emotionally in the weeks and months ahead, and turn what happened into a platform for her to help those in need. (Photo: CBS.)
