‘America’s Got Talent’: See Simon Cowell’s first message as judge!

The full review -

Ever since the news first leaked that Howard Stern was going to be leaving “America’s Got Talent” as a judge after this season, the rumor mill burned bright that Simon Cowell would be coming aboard the show. He’s been an executive-producer here since the beginning, and he already does a similar role over on the British show. It felt inevitable that he would take this gig, provided that he wanted it.

In the video below, you can see why Simon wanted to take on this job. Specifically, he cited the desire to get out there in front of the American public to see what sort of talent they have; not only that, but he also claimed that some of his favorite memories doing talent competitions are doing “Britain’s Got Talent.”

Of course, if we had it our way we would require Simon to bring most of his “Britain’s Got Talent” panel along with him. It’s no slam against Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Heidi Klum (who do a pretty good job), but rather a show of praise to what may be our favorite panel on all TV. David Walliams is in particular an undiscovered gem in America, a fantastic British comedian and personality who gets under Simon’s skin in a way that nobody else does. That’s probably not going to happen, though.

The majority of the “AGT” panel for next season probably will not be confirmed until early next year, for now auditions are open. You can get more information by watching the video below or following it over to YouTube.
