‘Doctor Who’ season 9, episode 5 video: Maisie Williams helps to set up next two-parter

Doctor Who -There are a pretty wide array of reasons to enjoy the new episode of “Doctor Who” airing on the BBC Saturday, but we know that there is one reason above all other that people are talking about it: Maisie Williams. The actress of “Game of Thrones” fame has a major two-episode arc coming, and there is not much known about her character other than that she is playing a Viking girl, and that The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) is going to take a particular interest in her.

Even the new video teaser below does not give you much in the way of further insight from Williams, other than that there is always a sense of excitement and joy that comes out of almost any occasion in which two separate fandoms cross paths. This time around, we are speaking about those who love “Game of Thrones,” and then also those who love the BBC show.

Williams is getting a nice break here from playing Arya Stark, but even if you are not familiar with her there is still plenty to enjoy in this episode. “The Girl Who Died” is following up a particularly strong two-parter in “Under the Lake” and “Before the Flood,” and conquering those expectations could be just as much of an issue for this show as almost anything else.

We’re going to have some additional news coming up in the future in regards to this “Doctor Who” episode, including a review for everything that transpires. Be on the lookout for that and so much more in the days ahead!
