‘Saturday Night Live’: Donald Trump (of course) returning to host show

SNL -Who cares if there was at one point some bad blood between Donald Trump and NBC over the Miss USA Pageant? It is completely independent both from “Saturday Night Live” and the business mogul’s desire to get as much attention as possible leading into the Presidential election.

NBC confirmed on Tuesday that Trump is hosting the November 7 edition of the show, which we’re sure is going to lead to some divided opinions among the “SNL” faithful. We of course question just how much every cast member is going to love to have this much politics mixed in with their comedy, but the reality here, or so we figure, is that this will be a very light hosting job from Trump. He will probably do the monologue and a few other sketches while allowing the musical guest and the cast do most of the heavy lifting. Trump has hosted the show before back in 2004, and of course he has always been a popular topic of parody. Darrell Hammond and Taran Killam are two of the cast members who have portrayed him over the years.

We’ll probably have more to say about The Donald and his “SNL” hosting gig in some time, but for now we don’t want to drift away too much from this weekend’s show with Tracy Morgan! This is a huge moment for him and his recovery, and hopefully it also teaches people a thing or two about persevering against all odds.
