‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 1 video: Barry Allen’s ‘Flash Day’ has a quick end

Barry -One of the things that is fun about “The Flash” is that unlike some of the more brooding superhero shows out there, this one is not afraid to actually let its characters have a little bit of fun. Unfortunately, it just turns out sometimes that the fun is a little bit short-lived.

The sneak peek below for Tuesday night’s “The Flash” season 2 premiere gives you an example now of precisely what we mean, courtesy of you getting a chance to see Barry Allen get a chance to celebrate “Flash Day” as the title character. Central City is grateful for everything that he has done in order to protect them, and as a result, they want to give him the key to the city! It’s basically that rare opportunity for a superhero to feel genuinely embraced by the public, given how often it seems to feel in this genre like they are much more apt to blame them for the city’s problems in some roundabout way.

Who knows? Maybe some in the city will feel that way after seeing the sort of chaos that “Flash Day” brings. At the start of the key-to-the-city ceremony, you see Atom-Smasher (Adam Copeland) arrive, and a couple of minutes later, he starts to wreck a little bit of havoc. This character has both super-strength and the ability to change his size at will, and therefore will be a tricky opponent for both Barry and the crew at STAR Labs to take on.

One other problem? With Harrison Wells now exposed as the Reverse Flash (or at least he was, we have no clue what the man’s role is now given the end of Eobard), there is no one who can be counted on to keep things steady.
