‘NCIS’ season 13 spoilers: Will Fornell be coming back soon?

So far on “NCIS” season 13, we have certainly seen what is the age of Gibbs. Given what happened to him at the end of last season with the shooting, could you really imagine the story going any other way? He is in a time where he has to sit back and reflect over his life and what he wants from it; it is a pendulum swing of emotions, and we saw with his makeover in “Personal Day” that this is clearly already impacting him in a fairly dramatic way.

If there is one person he can share this pain with, it is clearly Fornell. This is a man who lost Diane, a woman Gibbs was also at one point married to, back during season 12. He’s experienced loss, and experienced that feeling where you are not sure how best to move on. The time feels right to see him again, and TVLine does confirm that this will indeed be happening. The mystery for now is just a matter of when.

When Fornell comes back, you can at least check one off the list of people we want to see again. We already know that we are going to be getting more Delilah, Mike Franks has already reared his ghostly head, and we’re sure that a different Diane in Diane Neal will surface with the Coast Guard soon enough.

Yes, Ziva still remains the one at the top of list, and now that we are two years removed from her exit, we are at least feeling slightly more optimistic about a return at some point in the future.
