‘Switched at Birth’ season 4, episode 16 preview: Daphne invites Mingo to family dinner

Monday night’s episode of “Switched at Birth” episode is going to contain a few different surprises, and one of the biggest ones (and also potentially one of the most entertaining) is going to be seeing what happens when you actually get Mingo and Daphne’s parents in the same room together. While this seems like a good idea in theory, let’s just say that there is a terrible coincident that could complicate the relationship.

Before diving too deep into that, though, let’s focus for now on the sneak peek. In this one, the focus is first and foremost all about spring break. It doesn’t take long to see the differences between Mingo and Daphne show themselves in real time: He enjoyed his time goofing off on South Padre Island, while she was helping children hear for the first time.

From here, the subject matter eventually turned to Daphne wanting Mingo to show up at a family grill night, and when he said that he had “mandatory” dinner with his parents, she asked innocently enough for him to invite them along. Nobody really knows just yet what they are setting themselves up for, and this certainly adds to the drama and intrigue of what is going to be coming in the near future.

By the end of this episode, let’s just hope that there are a few surprises that the show manages to have in store for us, both in terms of this story and everything else that lies beyond it.
