‘Masters of Sex’ season 3, episode 12 (finale) spoilers: Can Masters and Johnson pick up the pieces?

“Masters of Sex” season 3 has been an emotional rollercoaster for some time, but come the end of Sunday night’s finale, we are finally going to see the cart to go off the tracks completely. Emotions are at a peak, and thanks to in part some of his own actions, Bill is at risk of losing everything.

We’d start by going into details about his marriage, but when did he actually have that entirely? This has existed mostly as a farce and a source of misery for Libby for some time, and she has had to seek at least some attention elsewhere. She pleads to him in the promo below to start to understand some of what she has given up for his sake. We’re not sure that he even hears all of that.

To make matters all the more intense, Dan Logan also confronts Virginia with some of his own feelings, and makes things all the more uncomfortable for her with Bill as she starts to wonder about the future of the study. Is everything that she and Bill have worked for in danger of going down the tubes?

If nothing else, we imagine that you do still have history to rely on, and you can breathe a little easier thanks to the fact that the show is coming back for a fifth season. No matter what happens, Masters and Johnson really cannot drift too far from other. If they did, how would the show work?
