‘Longmire’ season 5: Five questions while awaiting renewal news

Longmire -Before we watched all of the fourth season of “Longmire” and reviewed episodes on a daily basis, we wrote briefly about the potential for a fifth-season renewal, and how it may take some time for the show to come back on the air. Since Netflix doesn’t release viewing figures, we just hope that you and everyone you know is streaming the show!

While we wait and hope for a fifth season, we wanted to pen something about what we think are the biggest questions at the moment that need to be resolved. Obviously there are more loose threads than suggested here, and you can add to them in the comments. Obviously there are SPOILERS from season 4 ahead, so do not read unless you are either done watching or you don’t care.

1. Who attacked Walt? – Obviously, this is the huge question that the show has to address, and they will more than likely do it in the opening minutes of the season. The obvious implication here is that whoever burned Dr. Monahan’s car is involved, but is Donna herself? This is where things get complicated.

2. Will Henry stay behind bars? – Ultimately, we think that Mathias and Henry do have the same goal in protecting people on the reservation; however, they go about it in very different ways, and there could be some sort of middle ground that they could discover (or at least we hope).

3. What is next for Vic? – We don’t know if there is anything more we are going to see for her and Eamonn, and the bigger question is if Walt is going to ever respond to some of what she threw at him (appropriately so) in the finale regarding some of his recent behavior.

4. Will Zachary return? – We certainly hope so, given that Barry Sloane was fantastic and we find this character incredibly fascinating. We only saw him in a handful of episodes, and he feels already like part of the family.

5. Will Cady find success working for Jacob? – We have to assume that Walt will be none too pleased if Cady is on retainer with someone responsible for the casino; at the same time, you also do have to think that Nighthorse may be making this offer with ulterior motives.
