‘NCIS’ season 13, episode 1 video: See Muse Watson, Michael Weatherly more in sneak peek
In just over 48 hours from now, the beginning of “NCIS” season 13 will be upon us in an action-packed, hugely-dramatic episode where Gibbs is fighting for his life. We know that this is far from the first time that Mark Harmon’s character has been a life-or-death situation, and odds are that he’ll come out of it in one piece given that the show without him would be a completely different beast.
Yet, there is still some drama that comes from this in terms of how he makes it out of this okay. Not only that, but how the other characters respond and react to what he is going through. In the sneak peek video below, the prevailing word is “concern” for Tony (Michael Weatherly) who is with Gibbs aboard the vessel where he is being operated on. That is where we meet Dr. Taft (Jon Cryer), who ultimately ushers him away by assuring him that he cares for Gibbs and will ensure that he is brought back to health.
This preview also does mark a great opportunity for you to see Muse Watson once again as Mike Franks, even if his appearance is brief in this particular moment. We know that Gibbs will see a few ghosts as he struggles with staying alive, and it’s possible that Mike will turn up again on a few occasions before we get to the end of this.
Eventually, Tony will depart Gibbs’ side altogether in favor of heading on a mission around the world, one where he may be able to stop The Calling, the organization responsible for what happened to Gibbs, once and for all.

I’m a big fan of the show, but I probably disliked the last season cliff hanger more than any previous episode of NCIS. For me it violated the single thing that should be immutable. It made Gibbs seem stupid. Gibbs should never be stupid. Even considering his weakness for children, I didn’t believe for a minute that he would blunder into a set-up like that and react so slowly to it. I’m hoping that the new season and the resolution of this particular situation will resolve this in a satisfactory way.

I totally agree with Mr twicky, I will also be anxious to see how the bigwigs right this ERROR wrong in their script!!! I’ve been watching from the first show 13 years ago and love it, and hope it will go on for another 13 or more! Hopefully I’ll be around for a long time to watch many more years (I’m 77 ) !!! Good going NCIS……..

Gibbs was not stupid in any way. They were all working ‘blind’ as to who was who, and sussing out the area. Gibbs has always trusted kids and thats why he was in disbelief when Luke shot him. He had befriended Luke and gone to help him. He did go for his gun but Luke shot him the 2nd time.

For someone in Gibbs position to blindly trust kids, particularly in this situation, would qualify as stupid. He walked into an obvious trap that any probie should have recognized. That was also stupid. The whole situation was stupid and that kind of stupidity and sloppiness goes against everything that up to now we have known about Gibbs. That’s what I didn’t like. The writers had Gibbs acting in a way that violated the character they have established over the years.

Gibbs didn’t know that Luke had gone feral. They all went there to save him from The Calling because Luke lead him to believe that he was against them. He was going to help them nail these people. I think he was going to until they kidnapped him at the house and ‘got to him mentaly’ through the music and before Gibbs could get him back.
