‘NCIS’ season 13 premiere video: Jon Cryer, Mark Harmon talk Dr. Taft and more

CryerThere are a variety of reasons to watch “NCIS” and its season premiere coming on Tuesday, whether it be the huge cliffhanger with Gibbs or finding out whether or not Tony and McGee can stop The Calling in its tracks.

Of course, there has also been a much-hyped guest star to go along with this in Jon Cryer, and this is the subject of the video below. In it, the former “Two and a Half Men” star (alongside series regulars Mark Harmon and Pauley Perrette) does a great job of detailing just where some of his love for the show has come from; his show started at the same time “NCIS” did, and he has told them over the years that he wants to do something. For a time, the joke was that he would play a dead body.

For us, one of the funniest parts about this whole video is Cryer saying that he has not had a chance to work yet with David McCallum; therefore, Ducky has not spent time with Ducky as of yet. As you would assume, this is clearly something that needs to change, since having this happen would be one of the most awesome things imaginable.

For those who have not heard, Cryer’s character is Dr. Taft, and he is a skilled surgeon who is in many ways responsible for bringing Agent Gibbs back after the shooting. He is a supremely confident character when it comes to his abilities to do medicine, and we’re just waiting to see how he handles himself outside of this particular environment.
