‘Bones’ season 11 spoilers: Who has stepped in for Brennan at the Jeffersonian?

The “Bones” season 11 premiere is going to be coming on Fox on Thursday, October 1, and one of the challenges that the show is going to have to deal with almost right away is how to get Booth and Brennan back to the Jeffersonian. At the end of season 10, they decided that they wanted a change, and walked away from what had basically become their lives for the past decade.

However, they are going to be making their way back, and from the show perspective, the reason is simple: You want to get the entire cast together, and you also don’t want to lose that Jeffersonian set that you spent so much money building. The challenge here for the most part is strictly an issue of how you actually get Booth and Brennan back to their previous place of employment without making it look incredibly unrealistic, and like they are not just taking a step back into their past rather than a jump forward.

We cannot necessarily tell you the emotional implications that come into the return of Emily Deschanel’s character to the establishment, but we do at least have some more insight into what the structure has been at the Jeffersonian during her time away. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Michael Peterson passed along the following message:

“Arastoo is the main intern who has taken over … He’s really filled in for Brennan in her absence. Eventually Brennan will come back, but what that means for Cam and Arastoo is very interesting.”

Clearly, the show is doing a smart thing here in having Brennan’s return not only be important for her, but having it impact the lives of some other characters, as well.
