‘Chicago PD’ season 3 spoilers: First look at Lindsay and Halstead!

There are a pretty wide array of themes that are presenting themselves for the upcoming third season of “Chicago PD,” but one of the largest ones is fairly simple: Redemption. Is it possible that Erin Lindsay can find her way back from the ashes?

At the start of the episode, it is pretty clear that we are going to find Sophia Bush’s character in a terrible place. She will have fallen back into her old vices, and one of them involves her spending time with the incredibly troublesome mother Bunny. She is no longer with the police force, but there could still be something coming up that convinces her to rethink a little bit of what she is up to: Halstead.

What happens when he gets captured, and it turns out that those who took him want a visit from a female detective in order to start the negotiations. This is where Lindsay enters the picture again, and the photo above is from this very encounter.

This is going to obviously be a big step forward for Lindsay career-wise, and it is good for her that there is someone like Voight at the PD who continues to firmly believe in her. Otherwise, wouldn’t she be in a little bit of trouble when it comes to getting her job back?

As for Lindsay and Halstead’s relationship, we at least consider this a step in the right direction. We feel like they could still have one of those great TV romances, but it may take a little bit of time for everyone to breathe again.
