‘The Bastard Executioner’: Does Charlie Hunnam want to appear?
Is it possible that we could see a Charlie Hunnam appearance on “The Bastard Executioner“? Kurt Sutter has already shown a willingness for using actors across multiple FX series that he has worked on. Just take a look at Walton Goggins, who went from “The Shield” to “Sons of Anarchy.” He said for a while that he would probably never use Michael Chiklis on the motorcycle drama, but even he did turn up during the final season.
So when we consider all of this, it definitely seems possible that Charlie could come aboard. He also has a look that would work well for this world, and he is even starring in an upcoming “King Arthur” movie. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Sutter even makes it clear that Hunnam wants to appear; the problem is just the actor’s schedule, which is extremely crowded with other projects for quite some time:
“Charlie really wants to come and do, like, a little arc but, he’s sort of booked solid for the next three years, so I don’t know if that’ll happen … But we still have Timothy V. Murphy and I’m sure we’ll get some of our Irish dudes that we cast at some point on Sons. It’s hard to schlep over American actors. It’s been primarily British actors, other than all the people that are related to me that are in the show.”
To us what is really cool about Hunnam wanting to come over to this show is that above everything else, it really is a tremendous show of loyalty that he would want to pay the series a visit and continue to work with Sutter. He’s a guy who really has the world at his feet now in terms of acting offers, so there is no limitations as to what he can do.
The series premiere of “The Bastard Executioner” will air this September on the aforementioned network; be sure to head over to this link to get some other news all about it!
