‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Clay and Shelli plot their next move

Is there any hope at all for Shelli and Clay on “Big Brother” this week? It’s not likely, but we’re going to at least given them some credit for trying. It’s somewhat funny how we really root for our favorites to scramble and do everything they can to save themselves, but when it is someone on the block the majority of fans don’t like, we are suddenly like “give up.” We’ve seen that a lot online the past day or so.

Earlier Shelli completed her post-Veto task of conducting a sword routine 2,400 times, so she is now free to strategize a little more. As of right now, her plan is to offer up James a deal where they would not nominate him in a double-eviction, reminding him that he is on the chopping block for whoever wins Head of Household next.

The biggest problem that “Clelli” is going to run into while they make their campaign pitch is simple: They are dealing with James! If this was almost anyone else they were trying to convince, we’d give them a little bit more of a shot. James did not budge on his plan the first time he was in power, so we do not see him doing it here. Why would he trust him?

Also worth noting tonight is that Vanessa no longer has to be Jackie’s squire, and we get the sense that at least some are starting to think more about the future. For James, he needs to figure out a scenario in which he’s not put on the block in the event that someone other than Meg and Jackie is in power next week.
