‘Madam Secretary’ season 2 spoilers: Prepare to meet the First Lady!

We’re currently writing this “Madam Secretary” article on Sunday night, and we know that there is a certain amount of irony considering that this is when the new season of “Madam Secretary” will be airing this Fall. This is a show that did a lot of great stuff and told some fascinating stories over the course of its first season, and it is certainly fair to wonder what the producers have in store this time around since they have already proven that they are not afraid to take big risks.

One thing that we can tell you right now is that we are going to get a much deeper window into the world of Keith Carradine’s character of President Dalton. Specifically, we are going to meet his wife! According to TVLine, the show is currently casting the role of Lydia Dalton, who is someone who is described as “elegant” and will be hosting a dinner party at the White House during the season. Given that this dinner party is described as “tense,” there are going to be a few unexpected things that happen here.

Given what is currently going on right now when it comes to Stevie, it does make sense to meet more of the President’s family. Now, we just have to see what all unfolds as a result of this.

For the most part, production is keeping things very hush-hush on the second season of the show. We know that filming is going on right now, and we envision there being a strong mixture of politics to go along with the same family drama that we saw throughout the first season.
