‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: James goes for the big move

JamesWhile we’ve been hard at times on James for being a little bit of a goofball and creeping out some of the women on “Big Brother” this season, you gotta give credit where credit is due today: This guy is making a HUGE move potentially that could get him the $500,000 this week, provided of course he makes it far.

What is it? Well if the plan holds, it is looking more and more like the self-described “Hillbilly Asian” is going to nominate on the block Shelli and Clay as a pair. Why do this? Originally he considered trying to backdoor Shelli, but the more he thought about it, the more he realized that the two of them were going to be mad at him no matter what. He’s realized here that if he does it this way, he may be able to still show some loyalty to Vanessa, Austin, and the Twins, and have them not target him as much in the future as they would otherwise. We’re not sure if that is really true, but it is smart to take out a power-couple that would have no problem taking him out.

Will Shelli and Clay probably go on and on about how James “lacks integrity” if this plan goes through? Probably, but they don’t have too much of a leg to stand on after they and Vanessa all did Jason dirty with the Dark Moon alliance. They opened the door for this sort of gameplay, and James is just taking advantage of it moving forward.

We do think that this move will increase the odds of James going home over the next few weeks, but if he did something like allow Steve to go home (otherwise known as the easy move) he’d just be buying his time for a little while longer. This gives him a better chance of winning, but a smaller chance of making it to the end if that makes any sense. The problem for him will be figuring out a backdoor plan. Our suggestion? Liz. She will have the support of Austin and Julia, plus the likes of Jackie, Meg, and more than likely Steve. Shelli could have support from Clay, Johnny Mac, Becky, and maybe Vanessa; it’s a risky plan, but it may be the best course unless you want to nominate Vanessa and take that risk.
