‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Becky’s plan for Steve; also, wrestling

BeckyTonight’s “Big Brother” live feeds (for the most part) did not live up to any of our expectations, and we really did not have that many expectations for them in the first place. Our feeling was that maybe we’d at least get some campaign push from Jason to save himself, but that still hasn’t happened yet.

Instead, we’re left to talk about the other nominee in Becky, who is currently angering feedsters by telling Shelli how badly James, Meg, and Jackie want to win Head of Household this coming week. It’s a smart play for Becky to ensure that Clay and Shelli continue to vote to evict Jason, but it certainly hurts the remnants of the other side of the house.

Here is what surprises us: Becky claims that her target is Steve … you know, the same guy who has been the “target” of some people one way or another in the game throughout despite not really doing much other than being socially awkward. There are ultimately two different ways to think about this plan of hers, if she is really telling people the truth.

1. She wants to take out someone so innocuous that there will be no blood on her hands. If that is the case, it’s a so-so move for Becky to make if her goal is just to last as long as possible. If she wants to win, she has to do better than that.

2. If there is another eviction before jury, she may not want him in the jury house. For the record, we hate players who plan for jury like they’re gonna just be boozing it up and doing crazy stuff in there. Play to win the game, not to go to jury.

Ultimately, what Becky should be doing is getting together with Johnny Mac and realizing that they should have a final three deal or something with Steve, who should be reasonably aware that most of the Sixth Sense does not want him around.

Away from the game, there has been some fun stuff tonight. We really did like seeing Vanessa and Liz learn some wrestling moves from Austin, who to his credit has done a pretty good job of being less insane the past few hours. It’s also been nice to see Vanessa not talking about the game for a change.
