‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7 spoilers: The latest casting news!

The cast for the seventh season of “The Vampire Diaries” continues to expand in mighty fashion, even if today we are talking mostly about a new recurring player.

So who is it specifically? Per a new post on Twitter (see below), Tyler Buckingham has seemingly landed a new role. His IMDb profile states that he has done some work in Atlanta, which coincidentally where the CW show films. Therefore, he would not have to travel far. He is communicating in this post with Justice Leak, an actor who will play Malcolm. SpoilerTV speculates that since executive producer Caroline Dries has said that Malcolm will be spending time with someone named Beau and Buckingham is speaking with Leak, it is pretty easy to jump to this conclusion.

Season 7 is going to be filming throughout the rest of the year, save for some little breaks here and there, and it looks to be a very different series now that Nina Dobrev is gone. With that being said, we anticipate there still being plenty of romance, snarky Damon comments, supernatural creatures, and surprises along the way. It will have a different story, but we don’t think the genre or the tone of the show will be that different. Someone else will just have to find a fictional diary to write in.

The seventh season premiere of “The Vampire Diaries” is currently scheduled for October 8. Stay tuned, as we definitely imagine that we’re going to have some other news related to the series soon enough along the way.
