‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: John Wesley Shipp on what’s next for Henry Allen

The FlashJohn Wesley Shipp was really outstanding on the first season of “The Flash.” While he may not be receiving some of the attention that some other characters are, the scenes with Henry Allen and some of the other characters aboard the series may just be the finest ones that we’ve seen over the course of the entire series. They were emotional, and it reminded you that while he was suffering behind bars, Henry still found a way to ensure that he could be there for his son, and also make it clear just how proud of him he is.

Now, the question that you are left to wonder is this: Is there any way at all that we’ll see a different dynamic for season 2? Obviously you want to continue to include Henry on the series in a major way, but sooner or later having him featured in a different location will be interesting. You can replicate these emotional scenes somewhere other than prison, or allow Henry to be a bit more involved in what Barry is up to.

Of course, Shipp himself is not going to be in much of a position to tease anything major, given that he is an actor who values his job and doesn’t want to give anything away. However, he does tell ComicBook.com that you are going to see at least some change for this character pretty early on in the second season:

“Well obviously, a big part of season one was Barry trying to prove his father’s innocence and get him out of jail. There has to be some kind of resolution to that, and i think it [will have some movement] pretty quickly. Now I absolutely cannot tell you what that is, but I’ll tel you it’s always going to be a surprise. It could be anything. What choices do we have? Henry stays in prison, Henry gets out of prison, or Henry dies in prison. Who knows? Just hang on for the ride.”
