‘Shark Tank’ revisited: Frill Clothing, Twin Z Pillow, Coco Jack, BedRyder, and Mo’s Bows

The latest -While “Shark Tank” is continuing to dip further into the archives tonight with another repeat, this is one that was rather fun for us to update. There has been movement on some of these products since the first time the show aired earlier this past season, and we do think that there are many good ideas in here. This time around, it’s really just all about function. All of these appeal to specific crowds, and there is only one we feel with the potential to be a national brand someday with huge revenue.

In addition to the products below (click their links to go to their official website), you are also getting an update on Mo’s Bows, the fun bowtie line that Daymond John is helping to advise as a mentor-of-sorts.

Coco Jack – It’s all about expectations here. This is a really good product for its purpose, and who knows? Maybe it sells really well in states where there are a lot of coconuts. The problem here is always going to be that there are only so many people who will want one, and eat the fruit often enough to find spending the money necessary. We don’t ever imagine this being a billion-dollar brand, but it probably is the only product featured tonight that we would buy.

BedRyder – We understand that there are some people looking for an easy way to transport using their truck bed, but at the same time we have the same problem with it now that we did then: There is only a select market of truck owners for one, and then there are a variety of restrictions in terms of how it can be used in a variety of states, including some with high populations of pickups including Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Georgia. It is just hard to see the mass market appeal.

Frill Clothing – Since the show they’ve marketed themselves even more as a sorority brand, and we cannot blame them. This is such a smart product line to us! Many students in sororities spend a ton of money on cash, and are also young enough that they sometimes spend way more money than they really need to. This industry is ripe for easy money, and they have almost every clothing product (at a pretty decent price, no less) to make big bucks.

Twin Z Pillow – When we first saw this product on the show, our primary concern was that this was such a tiny market since you’re talking only about parents of two babies who would want something like this. Since then, they have introduced a pillow for only one baby, which does at least somewhat open up the pool of potential buyers to a certain extent.
