‘The Good Wife’ season 7 spoilers: Meet Dirk!

Filming on the upcoming seventh season of “The Good Wife” is starting this summer, and this is going to be a big year for the show. It is the first without Archie Panjabi, there are rumors that it could be the last for the series, and it is coming off of what we would say was, final Kalinda / Alicia “scene” excluded, a very good year for the show.

One of the things that the series is going to do almost right away is introduce some new faces. There has already been talk regarding Cush Jumbo as a de facto Kalinda replacement, even if her character will be somewhat different. As for a completely new face, the season premiere “Grunts” (we’re surprised that we even have a title already, given the executive producers’ knack for waiting until the last minute to hand these out) will introduce a new character in dirk. Per a report from TVLine, he will be one of the new associates over at the newly-named Lockhart Agos Lee. He is an extremely motivated and “charming” member of the firm, and it will take him almost no time at all to start to make an impact.

Given that we assume that this new employee is not famed Dallas Mavericks player Dirk Nowitzki, we assume that someone is going to be cast in this role sooner rather than later given the start of production and all of that. Hopefully, we’ll hear something soon.

As for the new season of “The Good Wife,” it will premiere this fall on CBS in its usual timeslot.
