‘Big Brother 17’ review: Audrey pulls a Devin, Jace’s rage, and Da’Vonne’s fight with Clay

“Big Brother 17” has been so far absolutely insanity on the live feeds, and we really hoped that the show would deliver something close to that. For the first time this season, we feel like we really did get that on Wednesday night’s new episode! This was crazy, entertaining, and we still had some fun stuff in here that we didn’t have on the live feeds.

First and foremost, let’s talk the ridiculous Clay and Da’Vonne fight that stems from Jeff being sent in to watch her. Clay and Jeff got too paranoid, and then in turn she got too paranoid. They’re both crazy! There wasn’t really a whole lot to take away from this other than that all of these people are playing way too hard way too quickly in this game.

Veto Competition – We always like the spelling challenges, mostly because they typically produce some unintentional humor. We don’t remember this having a Scrabble component before this year where certain letters mattered more than others, but whatever. We’re mostly laughing over Johnny Mac spelling out “boogers” in a competition that was about digging in giant noses. Yes, we assume that he threw this, even if he didn’t tell us. Steve won with “trombonists,” which per him was the second best word ever in this competition next to Brendon’s “understanding.”

Audrey goes crazy – Audrey is a really smart person who knows this game well. Yet, she somehow didn’t learn from Devin that you don’t go and start adding people to your alliance without telling anyone first! It’s tremendous television, but pretty terrible for her future game.

Veto Ceremony – Audrey is super-lucky that James still trusted her enough to keep the original plan, and is really stubborn. Jace didn’t get a whole lot of airtime for being backdoored, but we feel like he’s still done enough to give TV viewers the impression that he is completely oblivious and kind of a heel. He’s up, and most likely going home. Episode Grade: B+.
