‘Halt and Catch Fire’ season 2, episode 6 preview: Gordon heads west
Sunday night’s “Halt and Catch Fire” episode brought us a wide array of things, whether you are talking about the first meeting for Joe and Cameron since the end of season 1 or Donna starting to realize just what her present situation is at Mutiny. She now has Joe roped into the business, a husband who is dealing with a devastating brain condition (one that she’s still in the dark on), and also a pregnancy that was not exactly planned.
Next week’s episode has a little bit of a “Mad Men” vibe to it, mostly in that Gordon is going to do the Don Draper thing and try to at least temporarily escape from his problems. Whether or not that works is to be seen, but it is an attempt to get away and see his brother. The synopsis below offers you at least a brief tease into the story that you can expect to see:
“Gordon returns to California to reconnect with his brother, Henry, as Joe uses his newfound leverage to change Wheeler’s thinking about computing.”
Joe is going to have more time now to deal with Wheeler and convincing him to be on his side, mostly because he has very little going on now in terms of his relationship, and he really does not have any friends. Granted, how receptive will Jacob be if there are struggles between Joe and his daughter? He will have to figure out which side of his brain offers more to him at this given moment, and that may be tricky.
