‘Dancing with the Stars’ season 21: Could Caitlyn Jenner appear on the show?

DWTS -Caitlyn Jenner in one form or another has been rumored on “Dancing with the Stars” now for many years. Back when she was Bruce Jenner, there were almost constant rumors, and they are expanding almost exponentially now. While Caitlyn would not be the first transgender contestant in the history of the show (they have already had Chaz Bono on board), she would definitely be a high-profile entry. Her story has garnered national headlines, and she is already a reality TV star and former Olympian. These are two traits that this show tends to look for in its cast members.

What we do know right now is that a certain former pro would love to see her as a part of season 21. Speaking to “Entertainment Tonight,” Cheryl Burke (currently a part of NBC’s “I Can Do That”) said the following about whether or not she could envision Caitlyn following some other people connected to the Kardashian clan:

“I think Caitlyn would be amazing on DWTS … The whole family has basically done it. I danced with Rob [Kardashian]. Kim did it a few seasons ago.”

Ultimately, what we wonder right now is whether or not Caitlyn may be too in-demand for it right now, given that she has the Vanity Fair cover and the E! docuseries. Maybe in a season or two, this is a little more likely of a possibility. While we’re not sure she would win, the Olympic pedigree, popularity, and emotional story could make her a force.
