‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: Meet the Tigress!

Want to meet one of latest villains coming to “Gotham“? Read on for more about what sort of damage the Tigress could inflict upon the city throughout the course of the show’s second season.

As first reported by TVLine, actress Jessica Lucas of “Gracepoint” fame is set to play the part of Tabitha Galavan, otherwise known as the whip-using, sadistic sister to Theo Galavan, a character we discussed recently at the link here. He is a very calculated businessman, and she may be the one who gets things done violently while he is more of a businessman. She has a history in some form within the DC Comic universe, but she is not so particularly well-known among casual fans that most will take offense with her being in a prequel to the Batman story. It’s a wise choice.

This character will be a major part of the second season in some way, and she joins a roster that will include potentially both Mr. Freeze and the Joker in some way. While we may or may not meet the men who eventually become these characters, we will start to see / understand more of their journeys, and how they ended up being these notorious figures within the city. Characters such as Harvey Dent and Lucius Fox, who is one of the good guys for a change, are also going to have a larger role.

Production on season 2 of “Gotham” will take place throughout the summer, and it was announced recently that the show will return to Fox with new episodes starting on Monday, September 21 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. You better believe that we are going to have some other news soon as it starts to come out.
