‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: ‘True Blood’ alum joins as secret new villain

Gotham -Does “Gotham” officially have its latest Big Bad? While it may be a little early to say that, the new casting scoop that we have today is certainly interesting.

As first reported by Deadline today, “True Blood” and “True Detective” actor James Frain has signed on to play billionaire magnate Theo Galavan, who may end up being one of the most dangerous people that the city has ever known. There are some similarities on the surface for us between him and Harvey Dent. Upon his rise in Gotham, he will be thought of as a saving grace. However, over time it will start to appear to some as though there is something much more sinister underneath the surface. Part of the enjoyment of this story is going to be seeing where this character takes us, since he is someone new to the series and is not coming from anything in particular in the DC universe.

However, the same cannot be said for his sister. His sister Tabitha is otherwise known as Tigress, and she is a part of the reason why the two could team up to cause pain and destruction to the city, thanks mostly to an unspoken feud that goes back for many years. Hopefully, this is something that we are going to get a chance to hear much more about as time passes.

For now, though, know that the Tabitha character has not been formally cast as of yet.
