‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: Sinqua Walls returning as Lancelot

In some ways, this was the “Once Upon a Time” news that everyone saw coming, and yet at the same time, this is the news that we are still very excited to hear.

As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, “Teen Wolf” actor Sinqua Walls is poised to return for the upcoming fifth season in the role of Lancelot, which we first had a chance to see seasons ago. As for how this role is going to be a part of the show, that remains to be seen. Lancelot was killed off seemingly during his last stint, and unless they revive him, how could he be involved in the present? It seems more likely that we are going to see him implemented in the past in some way. There is a perfectly good reason why he would turn up now, given that Lancelot and Guinevere have a history together in Arthurian lore, and we know already that both she and King Arthur are both going to be joining the series in major capacities this season alongside Merlin.

Getting more of Lancelot is in some ways satisfying what is one of our larger curiosities with this show, and that is getting to see more of someone we thought was a very interesting character. Hopefully, the show is someday going to also remember that there are other interesting people, whether it be Mulan or Archie, who are also very interesting and still need some time in the spotlight.

As recently reported, the show is going to be heading to San Diego Comic-Con early next month, so you will hopefully have a chance to see some more news then.
