2015 MMVAs red carpet: Adam Lambert does the Carlton, Ed Sheeran’s promise, and more
Tonight, the MuchMusic Video Awards are airing, and since we promised a few assorted details if anything notable happened during the red carpet pre-show, this is precisely what this article is about.
One of our favorite moments of the show came during the Adam Lambert interview, mostly because he proves himself yet again to be game for just about anything. While promoting his new album “The Original High” and discussing its nineties influence, he took an on-the-spot quiz, which included him naming out some Spice Girls while also doing the Carlton dance. Anytime that we can see a tribute to “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” is something that we can get behind and support. It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the former “American Idol” star as far as promotional appearances go for his third major album since the show, and we do not imagine that will change in the near future.
As for some other notable moments….
1. Ed Sheeran promises to say “whatever he wants” while serving as co-host. In general, we feel like either he and the interviewer didn’t have a whole lot of chemistry, or he had a really hard time understanding what he was saying due to the crowd noise. Maybe a little of both.
2. A true sign that we’re getting older is that we barely have a clue who 16-year old Shawn Mendes is, but the audience seemed to love him.
3. Is Sarah Hyland at almost every single awards show ever? It seems to be.
4. Bella Thorne got a chance to talk a little bit of “Scream” remake, which we really hope is not terrible.
