‘Big Brother 17’ spoilers: Watch Julie Chen’s house tour (and hear alcohol philosophy)

Tomorrow, the “Big Brother 17” cast will be unveiled to CBS All Access subscribers, but before we get around to discussing them, how about a video showing off the house?

The clip below comes courtesy of “Entertainment Tonight,” where Julie Chen gives Kevin Frazier a brief tour of some of the new rooms, including the new Plexiglas walkway upstairs that allows for more room to talk / strategize. Also, we learn in here that apparently Allison Grodner hates it when contestants ask for alcohol, and that typically means that they get less. We’re somewhat torn over this; sure, we want to make sure that nobody gets completely out of hand and does something inappropriate, but sometimes a little bit of booze makes the contestants a little crazier on the live feeds.

For some reason, a good chunk of this video is spent reminding us of “Big Brother 15” and Aaryn; wait, we aren’t beyond this yet? We’d rather they spent some time in here discussing some of the new twists, or a few other mysteries of the house rather than turning it into some sort of commentary on how production ensures that nothing gets out of hand.

Anyway, we’re going to up bright and early tomorrow, trying our best to give you quick impressions on every contestant from the feed profiles. This should be fun! Also, exhausting, but hopefully fun the vast majority of the time. We’ll be around of course all season long, and we’re working to see if we can deliver some exit interviews for the second straight season.
