‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5: Want a new way to dive into the world?
Storybrooke has become an iconic part of TV history, as it is the fictional setting of many of the characters on ABC’s “Once Upon a Time.” While it’s definitely fun enough to see a few sprinkles of this fiction every Sunday night, what would you think about getting a small taste of it in the real world? That is what Disney Hollywood Studios over at Walt Disney World in Orlando is giving you now!
As executive producer Adam Horowitz confirmed on Twitter (see the image below), you can actually see a replica of Mr. Gold’s shop, and even stop by for a few photos! While it is only a storefront and not an actual shop you can walk into, it should be ripe with references to the series. Now, if only we could imagine Robert Carlyle standing somewhere nearby.
This has to be a most flattering thing for Horowitz and the producers, since this is Disney recognizing that you have created something important enough to be included in one of the most-popular tourist destinations in the world. This show is still going strong now that we are entering the fifth season, though the irony here is that the status of Mr. Gold / Rumpelstiltskin will be one of the most interesting threads almost right away … along with of course the revelation that Emma Swan is now the new Dark One.
We imagine that we’ll have some other scoop on “Once Upon a Time” a little later this summer, so be on the lookout!
