‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: All about preparing for ‘big changes’ for season 12

The latest news -The X Factor” is very fond of remembering its heyday, and we really cannot blame them! This was a show that at one point during its run was the biggest show in Britain, especially back when you had One Direction competing for the title. Since that time, though, the ratings have sagged, and the show now lags consistently behind “Strictly Come Dancing” in the weekend ratings.

There is no surefire way to turn this around, since you are strictly relying on the British public to want to actually watch. There’s no real way you can force them, and you have to excite them with new changes. This is something that producer Mark Sidaway concedes while speaking at an MBI event (per Digital Spy), saying that there are so twists and turns that the show wants to do:

“The show is 12-years-old, and yes we want to win the ratings … We beat Strictly for a few years and now they’re beating us. We want to be the biggest show and we need to look at what we want to do and seek to evolve.”

One of the biggest changes that we know is happening is with the hosts, given that we have now Caroline Flack and Olly Murs aboard in the place of Dermot O’Leary. Meanwhile, the show is planning to potentially hire some new judges; Louis Walsh is out seemingly, and there are some other rumors spiraling already.

We’re going to have some other news related to the show soon; stay tuned!
