‘Game of Thrones’ season 5, episode 8: New Emilia Clarke – Peter Dinklage photo!
There was a time earlier this year when we thought that Tyrion and Dany on “Game of Thrones” would not be spending time together at all during the fifth season. After all, why would we think otherwise? These are two characters who have not met yet in the books, and sometimes the show really tends to slow-play the journey that one character makes to see another.
Yet, it happened in pretty awesome fashion on “The Gift” this past episode, and maybe the arrival of Tyrion is just what Dany needs in order to take the next step in her quest. Think about it: She hasn’t really moved much from Meereen as of late, and seems almost content to just try to sort out matters there. When was the last time she mentioned overtaking King’s Landing? What makes Tyrion significant is that he has valuable information, and he could also in some way motivate her.
Just take a look at the photo above has us excited. He’s finally in the throne room with her! We like to think of this as a huge step in the right direction, and it’s a bold one. We just feel like the more familiar faces come together as we near what could be the final two seasons of the show, the more excited we are ultimately going to be.
Given that this upcoming episode is just two days away, we imagine that we will have so much more to share when it comes to it. Stay tuned!

I like seeing old characters come together but I think they make the intervals a lot more boring without the extra characters from the books. They don’t have to be primary characters but to see Belwaas, Jon Covington and Young Griff this season would have made the first half much more epic. Some of the show is becoming a little too convenient and I’m not a stickler for everything in the books but Theon’s story really needs Manderlys and Dustins. They were brought up several times since season 2. And no we don’t have to know everyone they show on the series but there has been a major difference in development than in the past 4 seasons. They can hurry it up along while adding at least half of the important characters from the books. For instance Darkstar could have been a great new villainous character. WE have yet to see any Freys or Boltons suffering for what went down in season 3. GRRM doesn’t play that much with the readers. Also I want some tournaments. This is the Medieval period after all.
