‘Call the Midwife’ season 4 finale spoilers (PBS): Teases on Paige, Delia, Trixie, and more

Patsy -Sunday night’s “Call the Midwife” season 4 finale on PBS is going to bring almost everything to you. There are going to be happy, romantic moments, but also ones with a heavy layer of darkness and sadness. There will be at least a few people who leave the season feeling much worse than they were going in, and the clouds of change are going to cover Poplar in a way that they have not to date.

As with every other week that the show has aired an episode this season, we are here to offer up some of our thoughts … and also teasers!  These are some events that you can expect to see … but we do our best not to give away too much.

1. Trixie has not been in the spotlight as much the past couple of weeks as we saw her earlier in the season, but many of her recent struggles following the broken engagement are about to come to a head. Be on the lookout for that.

2. You have been seeing a lot of the Paige – Delia relationship throughout the fourth season, and you have started more and more to understand their relationship and some of the obstacles that they face. Unfortunately for the two of them, some of their biggest roadblocks are going to come Sunday night, and they could change everything.

3. Contraceptives are going to be a subject of conversation in the episode, and they are an interesting one in many ways. They will change the way that women are able to control whether or not they want children, but at the same time, they could also change the way in which Nonnatus House receives patients. We’re not saying that it will change everything now, but it will be an important subject.

4. The greater presence of a fan favorite character will make you wonder just where they have been for much of the season.
